Job Responsibilities

Our Sales Operations Manager demonstrates a customer centric and solution driven mindset - developing systems and removing barriers to ensure our internal teams are successful in exceeding customer expectations. They utilize their project management and influencing capabilities to collaborate internally on managing sales cycles and R&D programs. Reporting into our head of Sales, they provide direct leadership to our Application Engineers and Customer Experience Interns. We are open to candidates based from our UT location or remotely within USA.

Pipeline

  • Orchestrates front end of the business funnel, ensuring that projects are properly implemented into Sales and Engineering/PMO pipelines.
  • Leads the project pipeline meetings to properly identify and plan for resources; ensuring project alignment and communication occurs across teams.
  • Manages NRE estimation process based on internal guidance from Engineering/PMO teams.
  • Creates new project entities within Project Management Software (Workfront).

Quoting

  • Manages quoting tools/dashboards/reporting; conducting training, escalation resolution, and optimization.
  • Coordinates with internal quoting specialists to ensure quality of quote.

Research & Development Program

  • Manages scope, schedule, and budget of R&D projects.
  • Leads R&D team in developing tools to support early customer engagement.
  • Coordinates with teams to perform early project builds in support of future deals.

Sales & Application Engineering Support

  • Coordinates with Sales during opportunity negotiation phase to refine SOW and resource estimates.
  • Provide reporting, forecasting, and load assessment within the Sales organization; including ad-hoc reporting requests from Sales leadership.
  • Updates and refines sales reporting tools (software, templates, trackers)
  • Act as liaison between Application Engineering and Engineering/PMO teams.

Job Education & Experience

  • Technical Skills
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant sales or sales operations/customer experience positions.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering/Technical field is a plus.
    • Direct experience within highly regulated industries; preferably medical device or consumer electronics.
    • Knowledge of international and USA federal regulation impacts to product design, schedules, and documentation requirements.
    • CRM software utilization and configuration experience; Microsoft Dynamics a plus.
    • Demonstrated experience leading projects.
    • Project Management Tool utilization and configuration experience; Workfront or MS Project a plus.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Soft Skills
    • Demonstrated people leadership capabilities and relevant experience.
    • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships and exceeding customer expectations.
    • Highly organized, detail oriented, self-starter with ability to manage multiple deadlines within team environments.
    • Ability to problem solve decisively and independently while demonstrating appropriate judgement on escalations.
    • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities with both technical & non-technical audiences, including presenting and influencing at various seniority levels.
