ATL is searching for a Purchasing Manager who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while working with our Purchasing Department. This person will help manage and purchase materials for Utah along with out of country locations, enter sales orders, solve shipping errors, negotiate and use low cost shipping options and will monitor incoming and outgoing shipments.

We are looking for someone who can perform these essential duties:

  • Analyze, identify, and implement opportunities and corporate initiatives for improvement.
  • Developing strategies and priority setting for Supply Chain key initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain partner relationships with reliable key suppliers.
  • Trains and develops purchasing staff.
  • Tracking and reporting key metrics.
  • Oversees purchasing component materials, finished good products from suppliers, components from USA suppliers for out of country ATL locations, equipment, preventive maintenance requirements, office supplies, vending machines, lunch room food and supplies.
  • Develop and implement purchasing policies.
  • Monitor and manage suppliers through trends to enable advance detection of supplier quality or capacity problems.
  • Assists with inventory control processes.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and possess excellent multi-tasking skills with urgency and responsiveness.

 You know you are ready if you have the following Experience and Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree and/or CPIM Certified Planner Inventory Management certification.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement.
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team.
  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management.
  • Possesses strong planning/project management and negotiation skills.
  • Possesses strong PC application skills. Including complement of Microsoft Office Software, with strong capabilities in Excel.
  • A working knowledge of Sage Pro Accounting System is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of EPDM document control system is preferred.
