ATL Technology is looking for a proven sales professional who will work closely with the VP of Sales & Marketing and will have the ability to develop a regional market customer base and to establish strategic OEM accounts that can grow annually. The physical location for the Regional Sales Manager can be in the region or based in our UT HQ.

 The right candidate will be a demonstrated 'Sales Manager' by possessing an abundance of strategic sales process and marketing experience, and having demonstrated experience developing and delivering a long-term focused vision. Ideally, our Sales Manager will have the "behavioral traits" and "technical capabilities" identified below and demonstrate the knowledge and mastery of the key skills, abilities, and experience outlined.

Sales Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet with Key Customers, assist buying influencers and sales representatives to cultivate relationships and closing deals.
  • Skillful in advanced relationship selling techniques (e.g., Miller Heiman, TAS, Spin Selling, etc.)
  • Responsible for lead generation and new market opportunities.
  • Coordinate yearly and quarterly sales plans as well as strategic account plans with Vice President of Sales.
  • Have technical competence to develop relationships with engineers and facilitate the engineer to engineer dialogue during the pre-sales, integration and post-sales stages. 
  • Define long-term and short-term sales strategy for the region.
  • Develop and recommend customer product positioning and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Achieve satisfactory profit margin at each account.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers, key strategic customers, and internal department to get thing done.
  • Establish and maintain the corporate image at trade associations, trade shows, and other local events.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
  • Ability to effectively present information to senior management, intercompany groups and most importantly to any individual or group representing our customer.
  • Ability and desire to travel strategically and efficiently, setting multiple client appointments
  • Travel 30 - 50% of time.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Desired Education & Experience

  • Mandatory minimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Communications, or Marketing.
  • Proven experience in sales and demonstrated OEM sales success and growing key customer business year over year.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines as established by internal / external customers.
  • Sales account management experience selling to industrial, medical and other technology customers preferred but not required;
  • 3+ years of OEM sales and preferably large account management required.
  • Experience with B2B Sales, including complex sales for large accounts.
  • The ideal background would be prior "Solution Selling" sales experience like our business.
  • International import and export experience helpful;
  • Familiarity in OEM manufacturing preferred;
  • Prior budgeting, cost scheduling and pricing decision experience a plus;
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications is expected.  CRM, and similar programs a plus;
  • Ability to use your best judgment, at all times, and be accountable for methods and results, is essential for this position.
